AMARA Al AMIR'S ORIENTALE BOUQUET GALA SHOWS & PARTIES...Amara will now make available the best of the performances from the Gala Shows she sponsors every year. Amara sponsors Gala Belly Dance Revues in the New York Area. These dances reflect her performances from these events. Designed to motivate, entertain and educate the audience, students and lovers of the Art of Belly Dance, Amara is featured in a variety of costumes from her vast collection from Amara’s Emporium. Amara dances expressively and is well recognized for her authentic understanding of the origins of ethnic music and dance.
Currently available are Shows: 10/28/06 and 5/20/07. All Shows are packed with choreography and costuming by Amara Al Amir and are 2 hours in length. Many Guest Artists and featuring Tapestry Belly Dance Divas from the Tapestry Belly Dance Academy. Click for Programs and Pictures. SAMIRA OF SYRIA LIVE VOLUME 1
Samira is Syrian born. As a little girl she always loved listening to Arabic music with her parents. Since her father owned café’s and theatres, he always had world-class guest belly dancers. Her main inspirations were Nagwa Foad, Sohair Zaky and Samya Gamal and other great Middle Eastern dancers. Currently she is in partnership with Amara Al Amir, one of the greatest belly dance teachers and dancers on Long Island. This video is a collection of her authentic dances from Amara's Gala Belly Dance Shows and Parties. "When I watch Samira, I know I am seeing the Middle Eastern grass roots of this dance executed with exacting grace and femininity.
