 Dear
Amara,
Having just completed my first year in
North Carolina, I am happily settling in. It has
been an eventful one. I still miss my dear
friends in NY and enjoyed
a great reunion together on Memorial Day
Weekend. In March I started a great new job as
National Account Manager for Wesave.com and
magazine. I was fortunate to perform across the
Raligh/Durham area at the invitation of the
prestigious teachers' wonderful events. Together
we presented a successful MEDLS Fundraiser for
Altzeimers featuring the top talent in this
area. I had the pleasure of meeting so many
wonderful dancers at workshops I sponsored and
capped it all with a great year end Gala Show
with Anush Pele School on 6/29. Tapestry is
alive again with a whole new group a delectable
and talented Divas; Jessenia, Karmiryah, Divya
Kamble, Zaina Tazara, Zivah Ami, Labybah. And
now we move forward to a wonderful relaxing
summer with a few notable events to tell you

Raks Al Asaya Choreography Workshop by
Amara

1 to 4pm
 Amara
will teach a choreography that
incorporates classic upper Egypt cane
dance moves reflective of Saidi and
Beledi styles . You will learn a great
assortment of folk steps, cane twirls
and accents. Very useful for creating
your own dances, enhancing your current
vocabulary, troupe dances and a great
solo as is.

daughters. 10 week session completes a full
